Grant that I may be
inspired by the Word of God
which the Church puts before me in her daily liturgy;
nourished as often as possible by the Eucharist;
regular in availing of the sacrament of healing.
Grant that I may have
a lively faith which will enable me
to live out my prayer in deeds
by my willingness to serve,
by acts of love for my brothers and sisters,
by speaking words prompted by your Spirit of Wisdom,
in my family, professional and social life,
so that I may, with courage and perseverance,
make known to the world
Jesus Christ, its Lord and Saviour.
Grant that I may have
a faith firm and immovable as a rock
which will inspire me to undertake
and faithfully carry through
some definite and regular form of apostolate;
a faith which will be like a torch in my hands
to enlighten a world
engulfed in the darkness of sin.
Give me the grace
to live in communion with other Christians
who come together regularly in small gospel cells
so that we may renew and deepen
our spiritual and apostolic life,
and promote and support any initiative
that will further the Kingdom of God
and the service of our brothers and sisters.
